Invited by the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) and the China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC) Bremen, some 110 representatives of the electrical industry across Europe convened at the VDE Testing and Certification Institute in Offenbach on May 21st, to catch up on latest developments regarding the Chinese CCC marking.
In the past few years, the number of standards for admission to the Chinese market has been increasing steadily. As a consequence, also the certification requirements for the CCC marking have changed. From May 17th to 24th, CQC – together with their European partners – hosted a series of seminars at four locations in three countries to keep their customers up-to-date with standardization developments. While the seminars in Cologne and Paris focused on motor vehicles and components, participants in Offenbach and Milan mainly discussed Chinese market conformity criteria for electrical appliances. In Offenbach, the venue was VDE Institute’s state-of the-art EMV and acoustics center. Participants were made familiar with latest standards for lighting, household appliances, low voltage appliances and factory inspection.
All participants agreed that the event was highly informative and a good platform to prepare the ground for a successful launch of their products on the Chinese market. VDE Institute’s international certification service will continue supporting manufacturers in their endeavors to further extend their market reach in China.
