Aside from the electrical safety, aspects of environmental laws and the keeping of additional directives concerning the health protection are in the spotlight of public interest. In order to accommodate the requirements for product safety and environmental compatibility the VDE has extended its testing laboratories and examines several commercial products also for environmental relevant chemicals and health hazardous substances.
