The quick access to foreign markets gains more and more in importance for manufacturers, exporters and retailers. Not only trade or tariff barriers have to be overcome, very often a maze of different technical requirements and standards are blocking the way: nominal voltages in Japan of 100V, in Australia of 240V, nominal frequencies of 50Hz or 60Hz or even combinations thereof, operational manuals in national languages or simply, what kind of plug is necessary? Finally there is the question concerning standards and harmonization degree: IEC, EN, UL, CSA…..
The VDE Institute not only has the information about the requirements for the approval of electrotechnical products for different markets, but the VDE also has established a tight network of branch offices and close partnerships and co-operations all over the world. This allows us to be able to communicate across the borders, achieve understanding and obtain approvals.
