The process inspection within the framework of this procedure is done once every year by the corresponding certification body. It will be verified unannounced whether the test checks declared in the harmonized CENELEC document paper are performed by the manufacturer during the production. The inspector takes samples at random of the running production and tests them on their conformity with the standards underlying the certification. The factory inspection procedure also includes the primary inspection to find out that a methodical manufacturing is basically assured.

Primary inspection of the manufacturing place
In the context of the measures of the process inspection we convince ourselves of the methodical management of the production in terms of the VDE test regulations. At foreign manufacturers respectively manufacturing places this inspection can be performed by the VDE agencies.

Conformity inspection
For inspection of the quality of the production process we take samples at random of the running production. They will be tested in a VDE lab independent of the type test and compared with the certificated model of the product.
