In Future decentralized generation systems can be expected to make a greater contribution. This refers to the possibilities of combined heat and power supply (CHP) as well as using renewable energy sources in the form of wind energy, photovoltaic systems (PV) and biomass. This study tries to describe and evaluate these developments and their impact on the supply structures.
