Student Activities at the EMBC 2019 in Berlin

The IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society is pleased to announce the 41st International Engineering in Medicine and Biology Conference, to be held in Berlin, Germany from July 23–27, 2019. The overarching theme is “Biomedical engineering ranging from wellness to intensive care”. The conference will be held in Berlin, which is currently developing a major healthcare hub in Germany with three universities, the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH), Healthcapital, and more than 100 regional companies active in the healthcare business.

From the 23rd until th 25th of July, the "Junges Forum BMT" will organize various events for all students (undergraduates and graduates), Young Professionals, WIE (women in engineering) and PhDs from all over the world together with the Student Activity Chairs of the EMBC conference and the EMBS Student chapter Magdeburg.

The program includes:
- trips to the Museum of Medical History in Berlin with an exclusive guided tour
- trips to the German Bundestag (the national parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany) with a guided tour
- and “Meet the berlin Healthcare Startups”

All VDE and IEEE members as well as everybody interested in the events is highly welcome to the events we organize!!

All attendance fees (including transport and entrance) have to be paid via Credit Card or PayPal in advance.

Workshop with Berlin Healthcare Startups

Berlin healthcare startups will introduce their self to the student. The students will then select their favourite startup and start co-creating a solution (MVP- Minimum Viable Product) in small groups together with the startup. The event closes with a short presentation to all attendees and a networking session.
