From September, 1 to September, 6 2017, more than 250,000 visitors came to the world's leading trade fair for consumer electronics and home appliances. The VDE experts informed visitors, the international press, students and representatives from politics and business on the topics of smart living, energy and electro mobility.

VDE explains Interoperability, Information Security and Energy Efficiency at IFA 2017

The networking of household appliances was one of the main topics at IFA. That is why it was a special concern for us to inform about it. Interoperability, the communication between devices from different manufacturers, information security, energy efficiency or renewable energies - our experts highlighted each of these subjects at IFA 2017.
The safety of devices during use is just as important for us, as is the safety of networked data. The experts at the VDE Institute demonstrated how easy it is to manipulate or steal data through unprotected networked systems.
