VDE Booth at the Autumn Fair Kassel

VDE Institute at the autumn exhibition Kassel

Shavings fly, small and large hobbyists everywhere, interesting conversations with visitors to the trade fair and, to conclude, the draw of the winners of the fair's autumn quiz by the Zissel Highnesses at the VDE booth. You can not ask for more public attention at a consumer exhibition.

With our fair quiz visitors had the opportunity to garnish their tour of the fair with a few great prizes. As long as all questions concerning the trade fair appearances of the Zweckverband Kassel, Förstina and others were answered correctly, interesting winnings, such as a sightseeing flight over Kassel, a balloon trip or a laboratory tour in the VDE Institute, were an invitation.

The winners were drawn on the last day of the fair by the Zissel Highnesses  and are now informed by mail about their luck.

Carving with a chainsaw

Handling tips were given and the experts pointed to the risks associated with using the chainsaw

From 4 to 12 November, visitors to the Kassel exhibition halls were able to get to know products and services on the topics of tourism, wellness and fashion, building, living and furnishing as well as arts and crafts and the Christmas world from numerous exhibitors.

The VDE Institute, together with the regional council of Kassel, was represented with a stand in Hall 12 and informed about the topics of consumer protection and the safe handling of electrical products - two of the VDE's most important goals. In keeping with the season, the safety tips were under the motto "Autumn time - safety in gardening and forest work". With the special show "Carving with a chainsaw" we were able to convey the topics of equipment and work safety. During interesting discussions with the trade fair visitors, handling tips were given and the experts pointed to the risks associated with using the chainsaw, the importance of the operating instructions, personal protective clothing and the VDE mark as an important feature for device safety.

VDE E-LAB Live in Kassel

Students interested in technology were able to learn soldering at our E-LAB Live. Under instructions, an electronic circuit in the form of a VDE angel was soldered. This has touch sensors that make the eyes blink and a temperature indicator. Also the Girls- and Boysday, which we organized together with the Hausfrauenverband Kassel e.V., was a great success. Under the motto "Woman can screw, man can cook", students of a high school upper secondary school received insights into the professions of electrical engineering and household economics.
