Visit the VDE at the Hannover Messe. At our booth C20 in hall 13, we are addressing the main topic at this year’s Hannover Messe, “Integrated Industry – Connect & Collaborate” and offer you an informative and interesting framework program.

Smart Factory
We show you the design and function of a smart factory together with our thematic partners Mitsubishi Electric, Elabo, Weiss Technik and M + H Elektro-Steuerungstechnik. Using a defined process, visitors can experience collaboration between man and machine live: After a visitor has initially registered at the Smart Factory counter with his or her name, hobby and live image, quick-sketch artist Marcel Bender creates a digital drawing based on this data. This drawing is forwarded to Smart Factory, which subsequently begins producing a personal giveaway, where the particular, sketched drawing will take a very special place.
VDE Campus
While visitors to the VDE booth wait for their digital drawing, they have the option of visiting numerous (professional) lectures at our booth on the VDE campus. In addition to standardization and safety topics, lectures are also held on many different industry topics along with general information from and about VDE.
VDE test lab cyber security and energy efficiency
If you have ever wanted to know how hackers operate and how you should protect your data from such an attack, you should visit our information security experts at the VDE test lab. We inform you on the issues of cyber security and privacy and explain how the VDE offers you assistance in this matter, e.g. with CERT@VDE, the first IT security platform in Germany for industrial SMEs.
Furthermore, we inform you on the issue of energy efficiency. Energy efficiency constitutes an important pillar of the energy transition, since considerately handling energy and using it intelligently are key challenges of the future. The VDE actively supports the development of energy-efficiency Technologies.
Youth development: E-LAB Live and INVENT a CHIP
Emerging talent can learn how to solder at the VDE booth. Under professional guidance, we offer any interested party the opportunity to experience the “basic craft” of electrical engineering up close and even weld some things that you can take home with you.
Philipp, this year’s INVENT a CHIP winner, will furthermore present his invention and explain the concept and his idea. The high-school graduate has developed a smart toilet system that protects privacy in the restroom and stops germs via hygienic security locks and doors that open touch-free.
