A number of directives have already to be taken into account when importing and selling electrical equipment to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAWU - Russian Federation, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Armenia and the Kyrgyz Republic). These include the EMC, safety and machine guideline. Further guidelines are being drawn up for the customs union regarding energy efficiency and radio / telecom. Belarus is already ahead of this development because requirements have already been published that apply to radio / telecom and energy efficiency. According to general knowledge, these requirements will be adopted by the other member states of the EAWU.
The VDE Testing and Certification Institute cooperates with recognized certification bodies for the EAWU. Products tested according to the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (2017/27 / EU) and the RED Directive (2014/53 / EU) or former R & TTE Directive (1999/5 / EC) by the VDE Institute receive the appropriate certificate to the new radio / telecom and energy efficiency regulation for Belarus on the basis of VDE test reports.
As soon as the new directives have been introduced throughout the EAWU, existing energy efficiency certificates from Belarus can be easily replaced by the new EAWU certificate.
