BMZ Group and VDE establish a strategic partnership in the field of battery technology

The BMZ Group and VDE Renewables GmbH have signed a strategic partnership to promote a Europe-wide platform focusing on battery technology. The aim is to promote and strengthen international exchange within the industry.

The internationally recognized Battery Experts Forum - organised by the BMZ Group - will serve as a platform for jointly advancing the issues surrounding the future of electrification. The globally active VDE Renewables is a subsidiary of the VDE Technology Association, and offers comprehensive quality assurance services in the field of renewable energy generation and storage.

Burkhard Holder, the Managing Director of VDE Renewables, said, "We are pleased to have a strong partner in the BMZ Group, the organizer of an very successful forum, with whom we can advance the core issues surrounding electrification even more clearly. It is critical for the industry, and especially for Germany as a strong business location, to promote a comprehensive exchange of information on these increasingly important topics and to form a close network on an international level. The event has the decisive advantage of bringing together all the leading companies along the value chain of the battery. Such a broad target group is of central importance for us in order to address all those involved in sustainability, energy generation and energy storage as well as electromobility.”

Another aspect of the close partnership is the further development of a more extensive, multidisciplinary conference program, where VDE plans to integrate new topics such as bankability, recycling and cyber security in energy storage systems into the BEF program in 2020.

Both the exhibition and the conference reflect the vision of the event: to create a central networking platform for the entire industry sector. Christian Adamczyk, Spokesman and Chief Marketing Officer of the BMZ Group, pointed out: "Battery technology is becoming increasingly relevant for more companies and industries, regardless of whether they are part of the supply chain or an OEM launching new products to the market. It is therefore essential to provide an open exchange in the form of such an industry platform. The high number of registrations for the exhibition and the numerous applications for presentations confirm our vision for the Forum. With VDE and its large network, we can communicate the topic of renewable energies, electrification and battery-powered applications even more strongly.”

This year, the Battery Experts Forum has once again registered a record number of registrations and is reaching its capacity limits despite the continually growing exhibition space. The organizers are especially pleased to welcome many new companies who will be exhibiting for the first time in 2020, recognizing the value of the event for their business.
