Update: European Battery Regulation
Global Advanced PV + Storage Technology Conference Plenary
Join VDE Renewables Battery Projects expert Arne Gruenewald as he introduces the European Battery Regulation. The Regulation, which was introduced in 2023, came into force in February this year and affects all players along the battery life cycle. It includes comprehensive documentation and verification requirements. Companies face challenges, particularly when it comes to the design and compliant implementation of the specific requirements for different battery categories.

12th Global Green Energy and PV Financial Summit
Burkhard Holder, VDE’s Director of Trends and Innovation will again be chairman of the Global Green Energy & PV Financial Summit, now in its 12th year.
The Summit gathers senior experts, leading enterprises, and stakeholders from green finance and renewable energy industries and discusses Green Energy and Finance. Key topics include the increasing role of renewable energy in energy consumption, green investment, and the integration of financial technology with green finance.

RETC PV Module Index (PVMI) Awards
The Renewable Energy Test Centre (RETC), a highly- accredited member of the VDE group, is hosting their PV Module Index Awards during this years SNEC Exhibition.
The PV Module Index (PVMI) report is an annual initiative by RETC that compiles reliability, performance, and quality indices in collaboration with leading PV module manufacturers. The report focuses on creating a free and accessible report for all, offering specific, data-backed findings, reporting noteworthy performance and trends, and objectively highlighting the achievements of PV manufacturers.
The goal of the PVMI report is not to dictate module selection criteria but to empower stakeholders to identify, quantify, and mitigate technical risks related to specific applications. To be considered one of the "highest achievers," a manufacturer must demonstrate high quality, reliability, and performance in all aspects.
