VDE works with multiple state-of-the-art testing facilities throughout the world, including test labs in Germany, US, and China. The focus of our testing and certification operations has been in the areas of product safety and reliability. These resources enable us to support our customers more effectively and efficiently.
The VDE Quality Tested mark for PV Modules features a stringent and optimized testing program tailored to achieving technical bankability. The quality standard of the VDE Quality Tested mark for PV modules offers distinct advantages in:
- Superior level of consistent quality
- Increased safety
- Low power degradation
- Lower risk for return on investment
- Strong support for technical bankability
RETC (Renewable Energy Test Centre), a member of the VDE Group based in the United States, will also be present at this years Intersolar. With the growth in renewable energy-based testing services in the EU and Americas, they are present to discuss their PV Module Index (PVMI) report - an annual initiative by RETC that compiles reliability, performance, and quality indices in collaboration with leading PV module manufacturers. The report focuses on creating a free and accessible report for all, offering specific, data-backed findings, reporting noteworthy performance and trends, and objectively highlighting the achievements of PV manufacturers.
Since its founding in 2009, RETC has partnered with manufacturers, developers, and investors to test a wide range of products, including solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, racking, trackers, power electronics, and battery energy storage systems (BESSs). As an independent testing laboratory with the highest level of accreditation, RETC enables data-driven approaches to product and project development, which mitigate sources of risk and uncertainty. The acquisition of SolarPTL, a pioneer in the field of evaluating photovoltaic quality and performance, is a huge step in providing customers with a complete integrated solution for all their testing and certification needs.
Come see us in Hall A, booth 420 from 19-21 June!
