Artificial Intelligence
The EU Artificial Intelligence Act establishes a legal framework for trustworthy, human-centered artificial intelligence (AI). The resulting legal requirements for providers and users of high-risk AI systems are extremely complex. Only a structured and targeted implementation process will enable rapid market access and ensure the safe application of these systems.
In contrast, most low-risk AI systems are not subject to comparable legal regulations for market access and operation. Nevertheless, EU liability law now considers the challenges posed by AI-supported products. It is also becoming increasingly difficult for commercial and private users to evaluate the quality of low-risk AI systems. This can lead to low market acceptance.
The VDE supports providers and users by offering expertise in standardization, testing, and practical application to help develop and apply AI systems safely and in compliance with regulations.
