Design, Operation and Automation of Open Transport Networks

The ITG Expert Group KT 3.3 "Photonic Networks" is organizing a workshop on "Design, Operation and Automation of Open Transport Networks". The workshop will take place on Tuesday 20.12.2022 at Fraunhofer HHI in Berlin. 

The scope of the workshop includes but is not limited to the following topics:

• Optical network modelling, planning and optimization
• Optical network availability, resilience and survivability
• Optical network security and privacy
• Multi-layer networking
• Novel optical node and network architecture designs including disaggregation andopen optical  line systems
• Optical networks in 5G/6G
• Optical networks supporting data centre connectivity and cloud/edge computing
• Optical network control, management and orchestration
• Optical network telemetry and real-time monitoring
• Energy efficiency aspects in optical networks
