(Frankfurt am Main, 27.01.2023) Whether service quality, quality management, environmental management, or safety at work: the certification of management systems identifies weak points in companies and thus promotes sustainable development. The implementation of an audit is a great challenge and requires a competent handling of complex issues. The VDE Institute and DQS are now pooling their many years of experience and offer certification together. Thus, customers benefit from a variety of standards and regulations according to which DQS and the VDE Institute audit.

More than 30 years ago, the VDE Institute started to perform quality audits in addition to electrical safety tests, also at that time with the support of DQS. Since then, the assessments and certifications have a high market acceptance and enjoy high confidence worldwide. DQS covers a broad spectrum: In addition to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, these include ISO 27001 for information security or ISO 50001 for energy management. In the automotive sector, DQS performs assessments based on TISAX® (information security in the automotive industry) and certifications according to IATF 16949 (quality in the automotive industry). In sustainability management, social audits in the supply chain (Supply Chain Act), auditing of sustainability reports and verification of greenhouse gas balances play essential roles.

The cooperation between DQS and the VDE Institute enables management systems to be certified across the entire value chain, beyond national borders. Sven Öhrke, member of the management board of VDE Institute: "We are very happy to have DQS as our new partner. This means we can continue to offer our customers certification of their management systems to the usual extent with the auditors they are familiar with."

"With DQS, VDE and its customers gain a strong partner in the field of system certification," explains Christian Gerling, Managing Director of DQS GmbH. "From now on, VDE member companies have access to an internationally operating network of DQS offices and auditors accompanying the entire value chain across national borders with certified management systems." Beyond ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management, the DQS portfolio includes audits and assessments of all important standards and regulations such as information security, energy management, automotive and sustainability management. Christian Gerling: "We are very pleased that VDE has chosen DQS as a strategic partner."
