Extension of the transition period for conversion from CE to UKCA

On August 24, 2021, the UK government announced that the deadline for the UKCA marking would be extended by one year, from the January 1, 2023.

Dr.-Ing. Klaus Kreß

Previously, it was envisaged that the UKCA marking, at least on the packaging or accompanying document, would be mandatory by January 1, 2022. The application of the UKCA marking on the product is still scheduled for 01.01.2023.

The longer transition period is intended to provide support above all for products that require a conformity assessment with a notified body. There have been considerable delays in this regard to date.
