Advancing digitalization does not stop at the planning of electrical systems. Digital twins of buildings are now finding their way into tenders. In order to draw up specifications for the installation of electrical systems and for on-site implementation, planners are therefore required to have skills in building information modeling.
The VDE Testing and Certification Institute offers a certification basis for the corresponding ELEKTRO BIM certificate courses in the form of VDE SPEC 90019 V1.1. The certification and the award of the quality mark define the characteristics of a high-quality certificate course for electrical engineering planners.
The VDE SPEC defines the testing and certification of qualitative content, didactic teaching, and the assurance of the necessary knowledge in the field of low-voltage system planning and building information modeling.
The transfer of knowledge to individuals in the fields of electrical engineering, planning, and BIM requires targeted measures to ensure quality. The certification of a training course confirms our own quality standards for sound continuing education in the fields of BIM and electrical engineering.
In order to obtain the quality mark, the theoretical content of the training, the teaching skills of the instructors, and the organization and technical equipment of the training center are assessed and documented by the VDE Institute. After successful assessment, the training center receives the ELEKTRO BIM quality mark.
This allows outstanding training centers and specialist companies to stand out from their competitors. It also provides useful guidance for employers looking for suitable training opportunities.
