VDE Institute and Japan Gas Appliances Inspection Association (JIA) to cooperate

The two test houses conclude a memorandum of understanding. With the MoU, the VDE Institute expands its portfolio to include on-site testing of gas supply systems in Japan.

VDE has signed a memorandum of understanding with JIA (Japan Gas Appliances Inspection Association), the Japanese national testing and certification body for assessment of gas supply systems. JIA provides a testing and certification services according to Japanese national standards JIS, PSE as well as EMC, safety, flammability testing for the wide range of electric components and systems.

MOU objective is cooperation of both sides to implement local testing, starting with Motor compressor and material testing, which allows to utilize the mutual knowledge, experiences, and equipment at maximum. Both parties agree that the delivery of VDE’s professional certification services in Japan creates opportunities for assessment on the spot. JIA and VDE look forward to continuous and gradual increase of collaborative projects.
