Strategic partnership: VDE Testing and Certification Institute and VfL Wolfsburg decide on cooperation

VfL Wolfsburg, as one of the pioneers in environmental protection in professional football, has once again committed to setting standards and further advancing its sustainability and climate protection goals. VfL Wolfsburg is one of the first professional football clubs worldwide to support the United Nations' 'Race To Zero' initiative. To achieve these ambitious goals, the Bundesliga football club has now announced a strategic partnership with the VDE testing and certification Institute.

The common goal is to implement certification projects in the field of sustainability and thus make a further contribution to climate protection. The cooperation enables VfL Wolfsburg to further expand its leading position in the field of environmental protection.

'Race To Zero' fits with sustainability approaches of the VDE Institute

Sven Öhrke, member of the management board of VDE Testing and Certification Institute and CEO of VDE Global Services GmbH, also commented on the new business relationship: "The 'Race to Zero' goal fits perfectly with the sustainability approaches of the VDE Institute. In particular, tests on recyclability and certifications within the scope of environmental projects are in our focus and coincide with the goals of VfL. We look forward to a successful cooperation."
