Guests at the VDE Reprensentative Office in Brussels
| VDEOn 28 August 2017, the VDE representative office welcomed the return of the political institutions to Brussels with its traditional summer reception after the annual summer break.
DKE Managing Director Michael Teigeler opened the VDE Summer Reception at the representative office in Brussels and gave a brief overview of the association's current initiatives.
Günther Oettinger, EU Commissioner for Budget and Personnel, addressed the challenges of digitization in his welcoming address. He emphasized that not only technical tasks have to be mastered, but also personnel and financial aspects have a fundamental influence on the further development.
More than 150 guests from European politics, industry and science accepted the invitation to inform themselves about VDE activities, exchange information and network.
