EMC
There is growing demand from retailers and consumers that electric bicycles and e-scooters are safe to use and pose no danger to the driver or the environment. In order to determine the safety, in addition to the mechanical requirements, the electrical components, starting with the motor and battery, through cables and wires to switches, must be tested for their safety. Further general information on the subject of EMC can be found here.
The VDE Institute is a category A and D (No. KBA-P 00021-97) technical service for the areas of EMC (vehicles and components, four-wheeled and two-wheeled or three-wheeled vehicles) named by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA - Germany).
EMC tests according to:
- DIN EN 15194 - for pedelecs with max. 25km/h
- ECE - R10 - max. 45km/h (license plate required) and E-Scooter
